  • This one is for me.

    Give me Jesus

    Frances Crosby

    1. Take the world, but give me Jesus,
      All its joys are but a name;
      But His love abideth ever,
      Through eternal years the same.
      • Refrain:
        Oh, the height and depth of mercy!
        Oh, the length and breadth of love!
        Oh, the fullness of redemption,
        Pledge of endless life above!
    2. Take the world, but give me Jesus,
      Sweetest comfort of my soul;
      With my Savior watching o’er me,
      I can sing though billows roll.
    3. Take the world, but give me Jesus,
      Let me view His constant smile;
      Then throughout my pilgrim journey
      Light will cheer me all the while.
    4. Take the world, but give me Jesus;
      In His cross my trust shall be,
      Till, with clearer, brighter vision,
      Face to face my Lord I see.
  • For my grandma.

    Hi everyone. And when I saw everyone I mean..."Hi, Grandma!" I know most people don't read these anymore and I don't blame them because I don't either. I've given up on trying to keep this going. I've given up on doing most things which fit under the category of "Free time" since I have (almost) none.

    Work and school have taken over my life. There is no short way around that. This semester is by far the hardest semester I have ever had. I have been in school 5 years now and nothing has compared to this. The sheer time and energy classes, homework, work, etc. take out of me is unbelievable. Greek is by far the hardest class. I have more reading then a person can possibly get done. If I wrote one paper every day of the week I might get ahead, but only slightly.

    Work. Or work(s) plural I should say is.....ugh. I am definately blessed to have a job since they are making cuts within the afterschool program. Thankfully, I had seniority. Things have just been hectic there (the kids, the co-workers) you name it.

    So, I live life (mostly) for the weekends or for anyday I can sleep in, which isn't many. Next week I am able to go home for the weekend, which is always nice. It gives me something to look forward to after a long and draining week. That's about it. Nothing really interesting just work and school, but this isn't forever and I keep reminding myself of that.

  • My bags are packed.

    Well, I was able to get everything packed this morning. (For the 3rd time in less than 2 months!!) Hopefully, I don't forget the food I have in the fridge and freezer. :) I'm off to work in a few hours and will begin my journey home. What an interesting time in my life.

    It's about time to get ready for work. I will update when I can!

  • 2 more days...

    Well, the time is quickly slipping away and I leave for C*town tomorrow after work. Then, camp on Saturday. Camp=no internet or cell service. For those of you who choose you can still call me. Just leave a voicemail and when I go to town (every Saturday?) I will be able to call you back.

    Right now my mind is full of packing thoughts....what to do with the few things left in the fridge....my pots and pans...and my non-perishable food. It will work out, but it's just figuring it out. Ahhh!

    There's no big insight for today. Work has been full and busy this week. The kids are getting their summer craziness, which means we are doing everything we can to have fun since there are only a few days left. Well, I better get back to packing.
